Mackenzie's class did a claymation film festival last week. She was part of the group that did "The Three little underwear and the Big Bad Pants." She played the part of the big bad pants(go figure!). I might be able to get it uploaded to here but not really sure. In the meantime here she is with her "academy award."

Goin' Buggy!
Mackenzie and the whole 2nd grade performed their musical "Goin' Buggy!" last night. Originally Mackenzie was going to be Lana Ladybug in the show. She got some stage fright and so the back up singer went ahead and did that part. I am very proud of Mackenzie for even trying out for this solo and for getting it and rehearsing it. I think it was more than she was expecting to get up in front of all the parents and sing a solo. Anyway, she made a very cute caterpillar that turned in to a butterfly.

Nic at Night performance

The church musical this year was "Nic at Night" and the kids were excited about their performance. Mackenzie had a small solo in one of their songs. Sean was being the typical boy and putting his arms in his shirt and playing during the performance. On Saturday, Ryan last only a short time sitting next to Alex before he was ready to go outside. Wednesday's performance he did a little better and made it through Act I before heading to the back and then we came in for some of the other parts of the show. I did get Mackenzie's solo on video so will try to upload that.

ER visit
We were all outside cleaning up the yard and Mackenzie decided to help by cutting some branches down for the recycling. So she ended up getting whacked by a branch right in the eye. We cleaned her up and put ice on it and waited to figure out if we should go to the dr. at urgent care or an eye dr. When I called the dr's office they said to have her looked at in the ER. So off Mackenzie and I went to the same ER room that my corneal abrasion was seen. I was pretty sure it wasn't a corneal abrasion but the big red spot on her white part of the eye concerned me.

Another tooth gone
Mackenzie lost another tooth on friday. I picked her up from school to have her smiling a huge grin with a bigger gap. It had been loose for sometime and I guess while at school she kept wiggling it and then it came out. They have these cute little tooth chests to put them in and bring them home. She was very excited to loose it on her cousin Alaina's birthday!

Valentine's hair
So I finally tried to do something with Mackenzie's hair and she let me try it too. If you know her then you know she barely lets anyone get a brush in it. I had sent this link to a friend a while back and thought I would one day try them out. I was going to do something nice for Christmas but that didn't happen. So I tried this single heart (Mackenzie wanted the two hearts but I was trying to figure it all out at the time) from another blog and it actually came out pretty good. This picture is from last night and this morning I re-did it and it didn't come out so well. I realized I didn't do the first part right so now I know and can try this all over again some other day.

Curly head Sue
Mackenzie wanted me to put her hair in curlers one night last week so this is how she went off to school. By the end of the day they were all gone but she had fun being curly Sue for a little while!

Alaina gave Mackenzie a gift card to Target for her birthday and we went there last week and she picked this bean bag for her room. I haven't uploaded any of the weeks pictures because I'm too tired right now. Mackenzie did have a great birthday and dinner at Mr. Gatti's and got lots of great presents which I will tell more about soon. For now it's zzzzzzzzzzzzzz time!

Girl Scout Cookie Time
The official start to Girl Scout cookie sales is here and a little girl scout in my house is VERY excited. She has been excited since we picked up our boxes and already has several orders to get to people. Looks like the next few weeks will be filled with trying to sell these to our neighbors, family and friends. You can't hide from this girl scout she'll find you!!

Sing #2
We have started the week of lots of singing. The 2nd grade music program was tonight and we rushed home from tennis (where it was freezing!!) and got Mackenzie all ready. She is actually wearing the flower girl dress my mom made her for cousin Holly's wedding. She never was part of that wedding (got cold feet I guess!) and has been wearing it off and on lately. Anyway, she looked beautiful and was excited to be a star bongo player. They did 2 songs and the boys tried to wave to her up on stage and then we were back out in the cold wind to get home.

Lovely night at the Remaleys
Mackenzie has been dealing with the darn allergies for about a week now. When she gets them she coughs until she throws up about 80% of the time. So that has started the past few days and last night was the big one! She came upstairs around 11:30pm and said "I threw up a little and some got on Sean" and so I went downstairs to discover not only was it not a little, it was alot and almost everywhere. Their beds are in an L shape and she basically just hung her head off the side of her bed and puked all over him. Well, it just got on his hair and he was laying right next to a huge amount on the bed. I could not stop laughing so much that I was crying trying to get Sean up. I got Mackenzie in the shower then got Sean up, he's still trying to figure out what is going on, and got him in the shower. They both got cleaned up, Daddy and I pulled sheets off of all the beds and put new sheets on. Then got them back in pj's and off to bed. I just couldn't stop laughing even though it wasn't funny. So everyone was back in bed around midnight!

The girl is once again toothless
The other tooth has now come out. She showed me it was a loose and then wouldn't let me tie a lasso around it. So she sat on the couch wiggling it and turning it then it came out. She's talking to Daddy in the first picture telling him the news. Then she's holding the tooth in her hand in the next picture.

Ms. Fashionista
This is the hat that Mackenzie REALLY wanted and it's really an adult hat. Anyway, she wore it all around NYC and hasn't even worn it since. When in NYC we did drive through the fashion district where they have all the fabric warehouses. We told her maybe someday she would be there designing something fashionista fabulous! I better get the rights to that now!!

Class pumpkins
I went up to check out all the class pumpkins from Mackenzie's class yesterday. They were all amazing works of art. The pumpkins were each decorated like a character from a book.
