Sing #2

We have started the week of lots of singing.  The 2nd grade music program was tonight and we rushed home from tennis (where it was freezing!!) and got Mackenzie all ready.  She is actually wearing the flower girl dress my mom made her for cousin Holly's wedding.  She never was part of that wedding (got cold feet I guess!) and has been wearing it off and on lately.  Anyway, she looked beautiful and was excited to be a star bongo player.  They did 2 songs and the boys tried to wave to her up on stage and then we were back out in the cold wind to get home.

Sing #1 was actually yesterday when they did these same 2 songs for the whole school.  So tomorrow is choir rehearsal, Thursday is another singing performance, Saturday is a choir rehearsal and holiday party and then Sunday is singing at church.  It will be a busy week since she is also Star Student of her classroom.  This has certain duties and rewards that go along with it.  

Tonight we had to find a current event to share with the class.........do you know just how many murder, shootings, drug dealing, sad and depressing stories are out there??
