Dionne and Ellen decided to have an overstock sale of Insanely Gorgeous stuff in Austin. My house got picked and I must not have been thinking when I said "sure." It all worked out just great but did take an entire week of getting our house ready. Luckily that one week was when Ed was home to help install new light in the bathroom, fix screen on front window, take kids to school, pick them up (well he did forget to get Mackenzie one day), take them to activities and on and on.
When the girls got here on Saturday they decided to move all the furniture out and make the front room the sale area. So we moved everything out and they set up 6 rolling racks and hung up 8 boxes worth of tops, dresses and graphic tees. After a long day Saturday we got up bright and early on Sunday to get Ed packed for England (he had to get as far away from this sale as he could) and get ready for people to start showing up for the sale. We had a constant flow of people till around 2pm when it started pouring rain and I think alot of people decided not to venture out anymore.
We started packing up the stuff, tearing down racks, moving my furniture back into place and everyone had left by 7pm on Sunday night. It was a long weekend but it was a lot of fun too!
Mackenzie has found her calling and wants to design clothes. She is now Dionne's unpaid intern.....she hung up clothes, helped fold clothes, build racks, and then put everything in the similar sizes. She was a such a great help that Dionne's mom and best friend bought her a pair of purple leggings that were on the $5 table.
