We went to the Austin Zoo today. I always love going there to see the animals and support a good cause. We didn't tell the kids where we were going so it was a surprise until we turned down the street with a big sign saying "ZOO" and then our little reader figured it out. They were excited to go. We decided to ride the train this time but to my disappointment you don't really get to see very many animals or additional animals. Mostly a few donkeys, ostriches, a longhorn, some sort of bird and some horses. Oh well, the kids had the best fun feeding all the animals. We also saw lots of monkeys, turtles, a couple tigers, bears, a fox, and much more. The kids were tired and so were we so we headed back home and just in time for a big downpour.
We just dropped Mackenzie off for her second slumber party of the weekend with Alaina. We'll go get both of them in the morning and take them for their riding lesson.
