Caribbean Cruise

We had the best time ever cruising from Galveston to Jamaica, Grand Cayman and Cozumel.  Now it's back to reality!  I haven't had time to get the pictures all uploaded to shutterfly so am working on that and will post that as soon as I can get done.  Seems like this week went by super fast too!  Can't believe it's already Thursday.

The boys absolutely LOVED camp carnival and would ask to go all the time and even asked on Sunday night when they could go back to camp carnival.  It is childcare and was split into the different age groups so Ryan and Sean were actually in the same group.  They had storytime, played games, freeplay, face painting, making sock puppets, coloring pictures.....you name it they did it.  The girls also loved going but were more interested in the late night parties they had so we let them go to one till midnight (and yes, I was the one to go up and get them!).  They had a pajama party with glow in the dark sticks, games in the dark etc.  They met a good friend who they are keeping in contact with through email.  Sean also made some good friends that he played with at the pool and around the boat.  They also loved the pool, hot tub and huge slide.

Since the kids could go to camp carnival for dinnertime it was nice to have some "quiet" dinners with just adult conversation.  We also went to the shows on board which were great.

One night the boys and I watched Wall-e on the big screen tv on the lido deck and Ryan fell asleep in my lap.  Our steward saw me coming and let me in my cabin.  He was super nice!
He was always asking Sean and Ryan questions about what they were up to.

We decided to just go to a public beach and then shopping in Jamaica.  The beach was so beautiful.....white sands and crystal clear water.  The kids had a blast.  We ate lunch back on the boat then left the boys in camp carnival and went to the craft stores.  The girls got their hair braided and we had a great talk with Big Mama....the one that seemed to be in charge of it all over there.  My dad and brother went kayaking and had a great time and Ed was off golfing.

Mackenzie and I went snorkeling in Grand Cayman and you guessed it the boys went to camp carnival.  Though they did get to go to Margaritaville that afternoon with G-ma and G-pa.  Margaritaville has a pool and slide just outside the restaurant so you can eat and play all in one place.  Daddy got lots of golfing in at some beautiful golf courses and got lots of pool time with the half fish boy.

In Cozumel we also decided to do a beach and then shopping.  This beach had floats you could use included in your fee to get in, a pool, a restaurant, beach games, and more.  The kids played there for almost 5 hours.  We ate some great quesadillas and guacamole there as well!

Ryan ate some lobster for the first time on the cruise and liked it.  We also ordered him a caesar salad every night since he kept picking at mine the first night.  The other kids enjoyed eating cheese pizza and ice cream alot!   Sean loved the hot chocolate they brought him after dinner and then we discovered they had a machine in the restaurant that he could get it anytime he wanted.  Of course we had to have ice to cool it down.....Sean had a recipe for the perfect hot/cold chocolate.

All of us enjoyed the Warm Melting Chocolate Cake......to die for!  I now have the recipe and will be trying it out very soon.

I miss that blue blue ocean already!!  Sean is already asking when we can go on a cruise again.:)
