We had a rough start to going back to school. Mackenzie and Sean both insisted they didn't want to go back to school. This could be that they have yet to adjust back to Austin time and were tired or it could be that they don't want me to regain my sanity! I can't really complain since the kids have actually been really good since getting back from vacation and have only gotten on each other's nerves a little.
Daddy left to go to Chicago which was a bit of a shocker to our schedule as well. We weren't expecting him to go back to the traveling world so fast but he got the call Monday night and off he went today.
This afternoon Sean got invited to his first real playdate and that made time for Mackenzie and I to hang out. Tonight she did her homework and read a book. She was very proud of herself (and I was proud of her as well) to have read a 48 page book all by herself.
Ryan spent most of the day trying to communicate with me. He's really trying to say things and be a "big" boy.
PS to Daddy: The gift card you gave me can also be used at Cheeseburgers in Paradise...that ought to make you laugh!
