Bridging to Brownies

Mackenzie had a bridging ceremony from being a Daisy to being a Brownie. She was very excited to be crossing the bridge over to Browniehood. And yes, they really did walk across a little bridge. Her whole troop went up got their names called and one by one crossed over and got a yellow carnation and did the girl scout handshake and became an official brownie.
After the ceremony we went up to Ikea and looked around while they played in the kid area. We went ahead and got a new duvet and that was about it. It was SOOO crowded and if you know my husband he can't deal with all those crowds and "dumb" people. Hey, I didn't say it!
Tonight the kids needed to get to bed early for all of our sanity. Sean has been so tired and whiny all day and Mackenzie has held up well but she has school tomorrow so we did the countdown starting at 7pm and they were both in bed at 8pm. Not asleep but atleast in their rooms. Jed told Sean it was lights out, TV off and Sean said "NO! Movie ON!" That didn't happen and Jed won in the end.
